I have an idea for the door itself. If you can scale down the size of the size of the metal slats that run horizontally to make up the door, you can get metal from a hobby store glue the individual strips of metal to a piece of light weight canvas or other suitable cloth material that will allow the steel strips to roll up. You can use "C" channel metal to duplicate the vertical rails that the door rides in. you can can use a piece of dowel rod and glue the edge of the cloth to so you can roll the door up in a roll on the dowel rod.

I haven't figured out brackets to mount the dowel rod on so it will spin. It would be cool to adapt some kind of small slow turning electric motor to turn the dowel rod to roll the door up and down, but I haven't worked out those details yet.

Check out micromark.com. I was looking on there and they have electric motors and motors with gear boxes that may help you out also. Micromark is an on line hobby store that you may be able to get the metal to build the door
