Cherry Wood Vendor

Hello everyone im new to these forums. I have a question about where I can buy cherry wood. Im going to start to plan a desk. I looked nearby by my house to find to cherry wood but they do not sell it. So my question is if anyone one of you know where I could by cherry 4/4. Either a vendor near Chicago I could pick up or a online vendor in the Midwest. Because a place form Penn. it would be like $200 for 30bf. So thanks everyone for reading.

Owl Hardwood---Deplanes--Lombard and one other location---

The Hardwood Connection--Sycamore Ill.

For large quantities drive to Michigan or Indiana--L.L. Johnson--Charlotte Mi. and South Bend Indiana--

Thanks for the replies. One of the owl hardwood is 40 mins. away so I may do that but also see what the price is there. So thanks everyone and I will research all the places you listed.

Better yet. Kettle Morraine Hardwood near Milwaukee. Lower prices han Owl. It's a mill so the lumber is in the rough, kiln dried. Owl charges at least 50% - 80% more.

Those who say it cannot be done should stay out of the way of the people doing it.
