Built in bar/display shelves

I have a recessed area in my family room that I would like to build a small walk up bar with a place to display my shot glass collection. I would like to use glass shelves with lights to display my shot glasses, however, keeping it rustic looking to keep with the look of the room. Any thoughts or links would be greatly appreciated. Oh yeah the size of the opening is 6' wide 8' tall and 1' deep and is located next to a fireplace with a stone wall that extends 14' up (vaulted ceilings). Thanks again

I cut that board 3 times and it's still too short.
