removing the aged look of pine plywood

I have some pieces of aged pine plywood I salvaged from some old cabinets. They have yellowed quit a bit over the years. I can tell because their are some areas that were covered that have not yellowed at all. Are their any techniques for lightening the yellowed areas? I really have no other reason to do this other than to learn if it is possible.

Wipe with mineral spirits to clean it up a bit and when it dries, sand it.

Sandings seems to workpretty good. How about bleaching?

I suppose if it's really stained badly. But don't use household bleach. There are bleaches especially formulated to use on wood.

What are you trying to accomplish?
