Need opinions from wood lovers as to this finish:

Hi All,

I recently put in a pocket door and destroyed a section of baseboard.
I need to match it as all of the trim in my house is the same.
Can you guys help with opinions about what the finish on this pine would be. My house was built in the 80's and the trim done on site.
Seems like it's a stain with a satin coat of varnish or shellac overtop.
I'd like to match it as possible. Here are photos: one w/ flash an one not.

Thanks so much, this is my first post. I love working w/ wood.

Looks like it could be orange/amber shellac.

I tried amber shellac. It looks like it's part of the equation, but too light. And did not seem to darken w/ mutiple coats.
There's a caramel/light brown/gold-ish component missing.
Maybe it was tinted. I will now try golden pecan with the shellac.

Is a minwax oil based stain under the shellac adviseable/successful or do I have to find tints to mix in the shellac?

Thanks again cabinetman for your help.https://skydrive.live.com/#cid=36130...1B1DE330%21322
