Finishing off pear wood?

Hi All, hope you enjoying your projects.

I’m now coming towards the time I having to decide on how I’m going to finish off my latest project and to be truthful this is a bit of a mine field for me.

I have quite a bit of finishing off products from when I was able to turn but am unsure if you can still use them in this situation due to the lack of friction you get with finishing off on the lathe.

So I have a few questions.

Is it advisable to use a sanding sealer after I’m happy with my sanding efforts?

I quite like the finish that by using a type of wax but I’m interested in hearing and seeing how other folk have finished pear wood off.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thank you and Enjoy
