Faded finish

I have some furniture I built ~15 yrs ago. The finsish I nitro. The pieces have been in a room with a lot of sun exposure and on the exposed surfaces, the finish has turned white/faded.

I am assuming it is the finish and not the wood. What is the best way to repair this. I was wondering if spraying another coat of lacwuer would burn in or renew the finish. The finish is still glass smooth with no cracking.

Your best bet would be to use a chemical stripper, take it back to bare wood and refinish.

+1 for the strip and refinish.

Nitro strips fairly easily with a good chemical stripper.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will go that route.

Is there a better finish for furniture that has sun exposure than the nitro?

By the way, I love the Welcome sign. Nice!
