Epoxy finish

I recently had a very nice surprise when trying to glue a piece of silver flashing to a toy maple sliding board (1/12 scale). I used a clear two part epoxy to attempt to glue a piece of flashing to wood for a toy sliding board. After 24 hour cure time, the flashing popped off leaving a beautiful slick, clear finish, really made the maple grain stand out and no further need to finish.
