An Xacto Knife

I was able to get a little shop time today but couldn't get inspired to do a pen so I wrapped this Xacto knife in some Eastern Red Cedar. Finished it with The Doctor's walnut oil/shellac/wax brew.

Nice looking piece of wood there.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

Nice!!!

Is this finish the one that Sawdust is always talking about? If so could one of you PM me or post the recipe? I'm looking for another finish besides CA for things like bottle stoppers and such but dosnt have drying times that take hours. I'm having trouble getting into the details to polish CA.

Here is the finish. I use 3 coats and it only takes minutes.

Thanks for the link. Ive seen the term "brew" used several times so I was thinking this was something you guys were mixing up yourselves. I believe I'll get me some of that on order!! Thanks again.
