WS2000 for lathe chisels

I have a WS2000 that I purchased before I ever thought about turning. I know they say that it can be used for sharpening your lathe tools, and I have been using it for that purpose lately. Problem is repeatability. I don't ever see myself getting repeat angles on the bevel with it free hand like what the jigs like the Wolverine claim on a bench grinder. Do any of you more experienced folk use the WS2000 for your lathe tools? If so do you use the slotted disk or just he regular disk? Should I just look at getting a bench grinder instead and just sell the WS2000? I don't really use it for my hand chisels or plane irons anymore either, so if it doesn't work for this it's probably gone. Thanks in advance,

Study everything you can find on sharpening. Grinding/sharpening is so much faster doing it by hand. Fastest way to visualize the angles, is start sharpening drill bits by hand. Once you get the hang of it, everything is easier.

I bought the Drill Dr. years ago, hardly ever use it. Eyesight is not 20/20 anymore, so it helps on the tiny bits.

Harrison, at your service!
