Wood Gloat

I brought home a load of Hackberry today. I did not need it but I hated to see it go to the mulch pile. Some of it will probally be firewood and maybe a few bowls. I do have more to bring home tomorrow.

A good score. Picture reminds me of one of those "overloaded" vehicles.

I bring home wood everyday. I finished bringing home the Hackberry today and a few pieces of Spalted Dogwood. We tossed alot of dogwood today for some reason. It's an "Everyday" wood hunt for me.

I know spalted hackberry looks better than unspalted, just don't let it set too long. It's one of those species that bugs love. Powder Post Beetle I think. Maybe check it regularly and peel off the bark as it loosens. Just a thought.
