Why I haven't been turning

I've been working on a doll for my mother. It is a caroler with a guitar. I've just finished the guitar. It has book matched veneer on the body and mahagony neck. The fretboard is dyed veneer. The pick guard is a real guitar pick that I turned on the lathe. The strings are threads that have been wiped with thin CA. It's about 5" long.

Little projects like this can be extemely time consuming and tedious but they are always worth the effort. Great job. Don't forget to post the picture of the final project please.
