What is it?

went to a auction to day and bought a 4"x4"x 6' post.I thank it's ceder but not sure?tell me your thoughts ? i paid $2.00 for it .

You should be able to get about 60 bottle stoppers out of it. or about 192 pen blanks. A few roller pins, maybe some bottles for them stoppers. you could cut it into little pieces and to a segmented bowl. Give it some time some of the others will chime in I'm sure.

Looks like cedar to me. Sand it a bit, you should be able to tell by the smell.
