Weekend Turning

Spalted Maple & Ebony, my first hollow form of this style, wall thickness of the splated maple is 1/8 inch thick. I will be doing more, a lot of fun.

I don't know what it is, but it's beautiful. And it makes me think of making lamps. Dang, I need to buy a lathe! :D

Nice job!

Nicely done. Very clean turnings. I think I might have tapered the bottom finial or what ever we want to call those. The straight lines make it look static to me. The globe and top finial are wonderful.

That looks great. I made my wife a Spalted Maple bowl for valentines. It's great wood to work with you never know what pattern will turn up.

Jeff, Your work never ceases to amaze and inspire me! If I can someday turn something like that I would be a very happy and proud man. Beautiful work!

Nice choice of woods and well done. Does the top finial come off or is it all glued tight?
