Vacuum chucks . .

Anyone use one of these? I already have several vacuum pumps, so I would just need the vacuum head, tubing, and er, I don't know what else but I could find out.

I do realize the vacuum chucks are not for roughing but for finish work, but would like to hear any feedback from users.

Once you set one up you'll find all sorts of uses. I use it mostly for reverse turning bowls. I have used it several times for saving some pieces that had to be reinstalled on the lathe. I also turn platters and only use the vacuum chuck for the whole process.
Send me an e-mail and I will send a PDF file of how to build the adaptors and vacuum chucks. I use off the shelf parts for everything.
