turning plywqood for the first time

Today i tryed turning plywood for the first time and i am so happy that i used my old tools instead of my new ones i just got a coupe mouths back. It really did a number the the cuting edge of my tools. When i am done turning the bowl that i am making out of plywood i will post some pics of it.

I never thought of turning ply. Sorry to hear it did number on your tools. Must have been all that glue between layers.

Cool, the glue has harder and softer spots throughout, mostly due to the grain direction, and will change with humidity levels. All part of the game.

it is oak ply had a bunch of scrap laying around just about to through it away and burn it and was reading where someone else turned it and saw the finished pic of it and tryed it. I am not done with it yet but it is coming along very nice cant wate till it is done.
