3 point tool

Good Evening,

New member here, been turning for a few years now and I make quite a few tools as I can't afford all the mod cons. Except I coughed up for the McNauton Coring System.

Made my 3 point tool and others out of Dixie pins, made a jig for the 3ptool out of a brass nut used on oxy/acet tank hoses(also use them for collets) drilled a hole in one of the flats and tapped for a set screw.

Just rotate the nut using every other side and you get a pyramid, set grinder rest for the angle you want and bingo.

Dixie Pins http://www.woodturnertools.com/mm5/m...ory_Code=DIXIE

Hope this helps, Trevor
