turning memories

so my wife and i try to take 2 week long vacations each year and try to go new places each time.i have been wanting to buy something from our trip but nothing ever really apealed to us.
i have decided to pick up some wood from every trip and turn a bowl to remember our trip.
we just came back from dc and i found a old piece of (maple im sure)
and brought it home to turn.
i hope you like my idea and pics
thanks for looking

Not a bad idea Bob.
I usually buy a coffee cup from places I go. Doesn't always have to be vacation either. Could just be a cool place or really neat restaurant.

i am officially going to steal that idea i like that! sometimes it takes a physical piece "anything" to bring you back to that place and time. songs do it for me all the time! very cool idea!
