turning a jaw breaker?

I saw this in the news this morning,
never thought about turning anything like this but it looks interesting!

Very fun. Not sure why it took 3 tools to do it. The spindle gouge he used for just a short while would have done it all. Also it is not a good idea to run the lathe while using a saw. I've seen people hurt doing that. Much safer to use a small parting tool for most of the work and then stop the lathe and use the saw for the last 1/4" or so.
Still that's just being picky. What is good is it got many people to look at turning ,notice I didn't say woodturning :)
