turning a duck call?

One of my neighbors is a huge duck hunter and he asked me to turn a few calls out of some mystery wood he got from costarica which is GORGEOUS super dense stuff like an burnt umber deep orange color. Hes also got some bacote and cocobolo. Ive never turned a duck call in my life and have no idea how to go about it. Turning the outside wont be a problem but need to know what he needs to get in order to drill the hole and all that. I have a nova 16 24. he has the reeds for the calls I just need to figure out what hardware I will need and if there are any tips you all might have... should be fun turning something other than bowls and boxes thanks in advance for any advice, happy turnin,
