Thin walnut bowls

I haven't turned any bowls for a while so I decided to do a couple small walnut bowls to get back in the groove. The one on the left is is 1 1/4" tall, 2 1/2" diameter and a hair thicker than 1/8". The one on the right just a little taller and wider but comes in at 5/64".

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

Glad to see your turning bowls again. Just like riding a bike! Walnut is a beautiful wood and your bowls are also beautiful.

Lost count. Not yet to 100, but getting closer. Over 60 for sure, maybe as many as 75.

I'm surprised, I was expecting more, goes to show what i know! I actually just started a thread because i was curious as to the numbers of bowls and how long the people on these forums have been doing it.

Very nice bowls!! Thanks for sharing...

I measured it once, and I cut it twice, and it's still too short......

Those are nice SD,
now put one on your dresser and keep your change in it. Early on in the turning club, the demo was an item called a 'pocket butler'. When I saw that I couldn't figure out what it was until he turned it. Was about the size of your bowls there. I have one on my dresser, works great, never complains.
