Sycamore NE Bowl

Well friends and neighbors, it's been a year since I got my lathe. I think I've improved a little. It's 8.5x7.25x!2. I really like this wide and shallow NE form. I may have to do another one with spalted sycamore.

I've got several more pieces I'll be taking pics of over the next day or two so stay tuned.

Absolutely loving it!!! One day, I'm going to be able to turn one of these. I'm still learning and practicing. Great job.

Great looking work. That's a cool base on it. I don't know anything about turning bowls, but it seems to me that a wide one like that would be pretty difficult.

The edge is burned with a torch. I got in too much of a hurry one this one hence the cracks up around the ends.
