Sweetgum

This is a bowl I finished a couple of weeks ago. It is gum finished with mineral oil and bees wax. 2-3/4" X 8-1/2"

Eugene, that is a nice looking bowl. That sweetgum is really pretty and unique! I have never turned anything with it. How is it for turning? I gotta get started on some bowls. Haven't done a single one yet. Yours is looking good though! Good job!

John, I like sweetgum. I seems to be less stable than maple. I am still new to turning. I have only turned a few species so I don't have much to compare it to.

Bowls are looking good Eugene.
Never had any sweet gum to turn. Looks nice when it's done.

Sweet bowl!!! (pun intended) That beeswax gives a nice finish on there too. Great job.
