Star Plate

So one day i was looking at segmented stuff and came across the segmented star platter. So me being the kind of person that likes to figure out how things are done said how'd he do that? Quickly followed by i'm gonna figure it out! So here it is... i did the star portion rather quickly/sloppy as i had a couple of hours before the wife got home, so its not as precise as it should be but i was more concerned with the process, rather than quality at the time.(the bad picture makes everything look ok but the center is way off) The second try will be a different story, this was just with some scraps i had laying around of knotty pine and stuff.

This whole wood turning thing is god dam addictive!!!!!!!!!!

Amen on the addictive part. Nice first try...keep it up.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...
