You're definitely on a roll lately. You have come out with some beautiful stuff recently. Awesome job.

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

thanks, i appreciate it
i get bored easily lol. It is getting close to christmas time and in around a month i won't be anywhere around the wood shop. Time to be in the woods. wanted to make a few things to give to my sisters. my parents have been getting a lot of my stuff, trying to make up for all of the grey hair i gave them over the years, lol plus i believe there is a craft show coming up around here soon and if i have enough things turned i may get a table

Nice BD,
I think you're right with the br. cherry. How did you fasten the top bowl on?

the post that i turned i put 2 tenons on it, top one being longer then the bottom one. before i chucked up each piece i drilled a 1 in hole right in the center of the groove you turn to put your chuck on. the top plate i drilled straight threw it to join the top 2 pieces together hope that makes sense?

Very pretty stuff. I like the way those woods finished.
