Spalted Sweet Gum hollow form

This wood was very plain when cut (last summer) but is more interesting after sitting in the shade with some compost for a few months. There were several worm holes; filled them with Malachite & CA. It is 10" wide x 7" tall.

I love hf's and that one is great. That wood looks so nice. How thin did you get the walls? They look nice and thin around the mouth.

Very nice work. Turning bowls and stuff is definitely on my list of things to learn.

Thats sweet!! The things you guys do with lathes just amaze me. I just blew all my extra cash on a new TS. I think I'm gonna start saving for a lathe now and learn how to do some of this stuff!!
