Spalted Oak bowl

This bowl is for the people who gave me a bunch of logs. I'm still learning but happy with it. I think it's like 6" x 2 1/2" or close to it.

I ordered the polycryl today to help with all this spalted wood I have.

The Shape of the bowl is perfect.
I like keeping the oak bowls on the thick side and this one looks great.
Interesting spalting on that one too.

Nice job and colors. I bet they'll be surprised to know a bowl that good was hidden in that log.

Rich, that wood is extremely dangerous, you don't want to be anywhere near it so pack it all up and send it to me ASAP! Very nice wood and great execution on the bowl.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

I'll risk it but thanks for your concern.

I like this too -- eye-catching patterns in the wood work very nicely with a wider rim on the bowl
