Some things I've made in the last month.

The bowl on the left is made from cherry and the one on the right is from spalted maple. The top and egg I made from some firewood in the back yard.

Good work. I've come to favor the spalted pieces myself. What finish do you use?

Cw,
Everything looks very nice. What is the piece on the string?

I used salad bowl finish on the cherry and HUT on the maple.
The string is for the top and I used the piece that I parted off of the end of the top to give my daughter something to hold on to. The top and the egg both have minwax poly on them.

I like the bowls. I am working at diguring out how to do that myself. I have only had my lathe for less than a week. Pens are the best thing I can make right now.

Love the spalted one. I am a cherry wood liker also.

What size are the bowls?

Great stuff. You guys are killing me here. Gotta get out to my shop and do some lathe work.
Thanks for the inspiration.
