Small whoknowswhat

Played with some aromatic cedar today. It was a nice bowl, but when I parted it off my chuck I fumbled. It hit the concrete and shattered its rim. Oh well, mount it back up and make a smaller thing. It's a very shallow dish now? :)

I think it's my new favorite wood to turn. It's a little too soft, but it cleans up well and the smell is amazing.

I made another small platter thing out of another failed bowl from a while back. This is basswood with a quick stain.
