screw lid boxes

I've started making boxes with a screw on lid. I'm using the Baxter threaading jig made by Bestwoodtools.com It's very easy to use. This is made from Box Elder. It's about 3" wide and 6" tall.

Nice John, per usual, the finish is very smooth it looks like porcelain (that an ambrosia beetle bit ). Box Elder is a fine turning wood, I have played with some of that myself.
There is a feller here who has played with a little himself too (on the sawmill). I just stole this picture right from TexasTimbers website http://powdercreeksawmill.com/. He may chime in, he has been awful busy lately and I don't think weather has been on his side. Looks like he picked up a little bit of box elder the other day though
