Screw lid box

This is a Walnut box I started yesterday and didn't like the way it looked so today I carved it. It has a threaded lid. I like it better but of course it took way to long and I'll never get my money out of it. It took about 6 yours from start to finish. Sanding took about a good hour or more. Basically I had to carve 10 flutes. I used the Dremel with various cutters, and a triangular file to clean up the gap between the flutes. It still needs some more finishing but other than that it's done. My finger tips are sore from sanding.

Pretty neat John,
I would save it for the memories. Those kind of pieces make good stories.

I like it. It's a unique form. Remember, you're suppose to say you had it planned this way all along.
