Rough turning in the bags

Finished rough turning some of the Yellow Poplar picked up last weekend. Yellow Poplar very soft hardwood, need sharp tools to prevent tear out whether wet or dry. Yellow Poplar dries pretty fast, you either like it or hate it.

Looks like you have been busy. Thats the way I do mine. On my bowls I kindly round over the edges of the rim on the inside and out. It helps to prevent cracking. Cracks will sometimes start at the sharp points around the rim. The other thing I do is to add anchorseal to the end grain of the bowls on the inside and out and let it dry for about an hour or two before bagging with shavings.
