Don't jump on that yet. More knowledgeable folks will chime in I'm sure but I don't think that's made for impact protection. Looks more like chemical/vapor protection to me. There are different ratings to look for but I'll defer to those who can tell you specifically what to get.

I would look for key words like "shatter resistant" or "OSHA impact approved" when looking for something to protect my face and eyes.

I want to die quietly in my sleep like my grandfather, not screaming in terror like the passengers of his car.

That has a polycarbonate shield with the same impact resistance rating as this shield sold for woodturning:

Judging from what I saw the 3M respirator listed for at a few other sites, that is a really good price you found.
