Red Malle

This is one of those pieces that you scratch your head and think,"What was I thinking?" Anyway would you guys spend the time on finishing this piece or is it destined for the burnpile?

I'm new to turning, so my opinion doesn't count, But I like it. Anything out of the ordinary is interesting to me. If you're making it to sell, maybe flip the center piece over and place 3 or 4 tea or votive candles inside. Nice piece of wood and Very nice work.

I'd finish it. Too nifty a piece of wood and too nice a form to trash.

I kinda like it also. All of the seasoned turners might kick me for this but a wider base may help it look more balanced.
