Hi Jerry, bit of metal spinning, first time i done a bit i sliced a nasty bit out of my thumb, looks as though its a nice piece, better pic would be good bit small for the detail. Still not got around to building a rose engine as yet, when i get a bit of time i shall, have all well most of the bits and plans..Stick another bit larger pic up jerry so we can see the detail better..cheers LB

Jerry I've been dying to do some metal spinning. I've actually started building the tool rest but have to stop and do some work on my metal lathe before I can get back to finishing the tool rest. Then I'll start on the tools. Maybe by summer I'll give it a try.
Good job on the bell. I like the combination of spinning and ornamental work.

Thanks John, I might be doing a demo of this at the April meeting
(Smokey Mt Woodturners) in Knoxville. I know your scheduled later this year to do your demo for our club, looking forward to seeing you there.

Jerry I'll try to be there. I just did some photos for Marion that may appear in Woodturning. We had a good time in his shop up until he turned some mimosa and then we all started sneezing.
I've been studying metal spinning for a long time and have wanted to get into it. It just hasn't been enough of a priority to actually do it.
Oneway is now pushing it on their website. I first saw Rude Osolnik doing it and then Dave Hout. Then I visited a guy from Holland who was a professional turner. man was he good.

John, I'm not in their class. I'm also a newby to metal spinning, but so far it seems like fun. I will let you know next week if I will be doing this demo (the club may want me to cover a different topic).
