oak pen blanks

i have a bunch of oak scraps over here that are off of some pallets. they will be an inch thick and about 4 inches long and about 3 inches wide or so. would u think there would be any interest in them for pen blanks? i believe they are red oak or just oak period...

If they have good grain, about a buck a piece. If plain grain, less. Typical pen blanks are usually 5" long and 3/4" square, maybe 7/8" for larger kits.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...
