Here is one I just finished from a burl I cut off last summer. It's got some real crazy figure in it. It turned pretty easy though. It's about 7 1/2" x 2". It's got 6 coats of ***.
*** is Minwax Wipe on Poly. After the bowl is sanded to 600 grit I use a small piece of a T-shirt and (4"square) and saturate the cloth and wipe the piece down well. If I put the first coat on in the morning I can add another one late in the evening. I usually add about 6 coats. Lightly sand in between coats with 600 grit just enough to smooth the finish.
