Nice bat!!

Thats a cool burglar buster too. I got me a burgler buster but I cant take credit for making it. Springfield Armory made mine. It slings .40 caliber chunks of lead at amazingly high speeds!!

RRBrown, knottscott and many others were banned, they didn't just leave. They were banned for standing up to the new owners that are destroying this site. Come join us all at woodworking chat, the best new woodworking site on the net!!

Thanks! Sanded down to 600 grit then 5 coats of tung oil. That burglar buster is cool! But mine also slings lead, a lot of it 410 judge by Taurus. I'd been practicing with pine and oak this bat was my first walnut and man that wood turns 10times better. What other species are that forgiving?

Ok I think I'm addicted to my lathe now. My first bowl, still wet in the picture. I didn't have a way to sand the inside as good as i would have wanted to, But I'm happy with the results. I think a trip to woodcraft is in store for next week! I need some tool that will sand the inside and I wanna try some pens/pencils..

Get yourself some 2" diameter foam sanders for your drill. I'll post a link later when I'm at the computer.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...
