my first pepper mills

these are my first pepper mills. I kept seeing them on here and figured i would give a go at it and found that they are quite simple and fun to make!!

Those are really cool. I can't wait to try to make some of these when I get some grinder mechanisms. I really like the first one with the contrasting dots. Did you plug contrasting wood dowels into your blank before turning to get that? They are all very nice. Well done!

thanks, i had some purple heart, rosewood, and walnut dowels that i threw in there. i have one i am going to tackle today that should look awesome. i am going to head up to woodcraft today. I haven't decided if having a woodcraft store 1/2 hr away is a good thing or bad thing?

That sounds like a good thing to me. I am very jealous. I get to visit a woodcraft once in a blue moon when I get down to Lenexa to visit the brother and sister in law. I get the Woodsmith store five hours away in Des Moines or a Rockler a little further than that in the Cities. I know what you mean though, my wife would kill me being that close. We'd be living in the shop.
