masterchuck

http://www.peterchild.co.uk/osc/mast...kii-p-133.html

i just bought a used axminster m900 for 205 and the seller is throwing in a load of gear like tool rests and drill chucks etc.
it comes with a masterchuck2 and doing some research im not so sure if its going to be any good
it looks like it has a set of jaws built into it, they dont hold much wood and im worried it wont hold well enough
has anyone had any experience with this chuck?
when i go to pick up the lathe i will take a look at it properly and if it isnt any good i will buy a good quality chuck and keep the masterchuck for bowls with a small decorative recess in the bottom of bowls.
i just want to get some feedback about this chuck before i get excited about not having to fork out another hunded pounds to pay for a new chuck.
i have looked for other jaws for it and i havnt found anything other than microjaws

Hi Mike

I use a similar chuck and have no problems with it.
