Leopardwood Pen Blanks

I'm looking for 30 leopardwood pen blanks about 1" x 1" x 5". I found 16 on eBay for $1 a piece, but I need 30 in total. Anyone with these blanks that is willing to work a sale? Thanks.

Matt

Check over at woodbarter.com, someone there might be able to help you.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

Sorry, I don't have any -- but I recommend you head over to WoodBarter. Post an introduction message first, then post a message similiar to this one in the "wanted to buy" section.

Be careful, I wandered over there by accident, my bank balance will never recover

(edit ... seems I type too slowly ...)

Lol, these guys are correct, you'll find anything you want and more over there. When you get there, look for member JMC. I know he has leapordwood as I have purchasd several blanks from him.

Have you made a pen from leapordwood thats been crosscut? It makes a very cool pen. A little tricky to turn but the end result is worth it!!

RRBrown, knottscott and many others were banned, they didn't just leave. They were banned for standing up to the new owners that are destroying this site. Come join us all at woodworking chat, the best new woodworking site on the net!!

I have not made a pen from leopardwood yet. I was wanting to make pens for the holidays for family and found this to be a very pretty type of wood that would look great outfitted with a gold pen kit. When you say it is tricky to turn, what do you mean. What's the difference with turning leopardwood from other types? I have turned several different types and the only type I don't really care for is diamond wood at this point. Thanks BassBlaster for any inputs.

I checked out this site and they have everything! Plus their prices are very reasonable. Thanks DTM65 for the reference.
