Keeping with the pen theme...
Keeping with the pen theme of the past few days, the first was an "OH NO!" pen. When turning down the bottom blank when I got just about to the bushing something happened and I got a bunch of small chip outs around the edge that went below the bushing level
I decided to try and undercut it a bit and hopefully it would look ok. I think it succeeded. Then when assembling the pen, while pressing in the last little bit on the top finial bushing I heard a "pop".
Cracked on both sides of the top, very small cracks but still cracks. After some(many) adult beverages and contemplating, I was given some good advice on fixing it with ca glue. Took it apart put it back on the lathe and proceeded to fix my damage. One crack is invisible now and the other is very faint and is positioned under the clip.
The second is a chunk of Walnut on a majestic squire pen. My lighting isn't very good for showing the grain.
