A Jr Statesman II

I wrapped this one in Corrugata Burl and finished with The Doctor's Walnut Oil/Wax/Shelac brew.

Beautiful piece of wood on that one Dick. Great job as always.

That bowl was perfect right up until that last cut...

That is an awesome piece of lumber there!!!! Nice!!

RRBrown, knottscott and many others were banned, they didn't just leave. They were banned for standing up to the new owners that are destroying this site. Come join us all at woodworking chat, the best new woodworking site on the net!!

I have to agree with the others that is a very nice piece of timber. Burls just scream at you and you matched it to a nice kit that does not take away from the blank. Nice job and thanks for showing.

How are you liking that finish?? Is it easy to apply??? What would you compare it to?? Thanks.

That's very nice Dick. The Jr. Statesman is a nice kit. Here's one I did for a guy awhile back. Black Ash Burl sanded to 1200 and buffed with white diamond.

I am liking it. Very easy to apply, 3 coats on this pen, and so far my carry pen is holding up well. For me the big plus is that you can feel the wood not plastic.
