Are jaws interchangeable?

Does anybody know if Vicmarc jaws will fit on a Nova G3 chuck? I am turning a small object and the long nose Vicmarc jaws have the perfect closed dimensions for this piece. Nova does not offer anything this size.

Thanks,

Paul

Jaw sets are not interchangeable between brands of chucks.
What diameter do you need to expand or contract to?

My object is around 1 inch in diameter so I want to contract down to close to that size. My pin jaws would work but they close down to .340" and they dig into the would.

If you are turning small objects you may want to look at Nova's soft jaws (about as soft as the old Tonka trucks, if that is soft, and very thick). Mount them and cut whatever size you need/want. Often on sale for <$10.

Here is a link to the soft jaws. They may be the answer.
