Thumbs up Intro

Hey everyone,

I've posted a couple of questions so I figured the least I could do was post an introduction so y'all wouldn't think I was just using you for free info. I found this site while searching for something and everyone seemed really nice and helpful so I joined and sure enough I got lots of helpful info and advice. Thanks Everyone. Even better everyone seems to have fun so this is right down my alley. I've read every post here and in the product showcase and every creation i saw was wonderful. I am brand new to woodworking and I can only hope that I am half as good as you guys someday. My only woodworking experience is a woodturning class I took one Saturday and I'm hooked and my wife is sooo happy I have found such an expensive hobby. Anyways, I look forward to having a little fun and learning something too.

Jason Glad you can hang out with us. Woodworking sure is fun and goes in just about every direction possible. Right now I'm mostly into turning but as you can tell by reading the posts, I'll try metal working and often do flat work as well as minatures etc.

Mike,

Woodturning is where i am starting. ever since I took that class I have about drove myself (but mostly my wife) nuts. I have already bought a Delta midi lathe. I ordered a 6 pc. set of Sorby turning tools should be here tommorrowand I have all the stuff to make a sharpening jig. I have a long way to go, though. There are so many accessories and tools I see that I still need. I love a hobby that requires buying new toys.

Jason,
That's the one nice thing about woodturning, you never run out of stuff to buy.
