Question I need to warp wood for boat project and don't know the best way.

I am restoring a 1948 larson fishing boat. It is aluminum with a wood rim and trim. the problem I have is choosing the wood and warping it to fit the shape of the bow. I want to go with a grain that will stand out with a multi-stain finish. Also I don't really know what I'm going to need to do to intentionally warp the wood into the shape I need. The trim on the lip of the rim is going to be 2" wide by 12' long on the out side of the boat, but I need to start off with a 6" or 8" wide piece for the flair at either end. Anybody with suggestions would be appriciated. Thanks, Mike
