HF 10x18 lathe

ok before you say anything i know HF lathes have been talked to death on here but i have a question about one. i want to start turning pens and game calls. i saw this lathe at harbor freight and it looked good for my needs and budget. i was wondering if anybody knew if it would be powerful enough. the biggest pieces i will be turning will be 2 1/2in x 2 1/2in x 4-5in. it has a 1/2hp motor. please dont start firing away about how HF is crap etc. just please answer my question

It will be powerful enough for pens.I dont know what you will be paying for it but I saw Rockler has their mini Excellsior lathe 1/2 hp also but with the bed extension on sale for $259.You also would be able to turn longer items up to 38-1/2".Normally $329,just a thought.have a great day,Itchy

***For the record*** Ive made hundreds of guitar bodies, never put one together and cant play a note.
