help need with tull international lathe

hi i am completely new to wood turning. I have a Tull international lathe, which is fairly old but works OK.
but i am having a problem with the drive center. I can't find how to remove it so i can attach the bowl plate. The drive center has 2 flat spots either side of the shaft, which i thought a spanner would turn it as if it was on a thread, but it hasn't worked i cant pull it out either. The bowl plate also doubles to tighten on to the bolt that holds the tail stock secure.
i know there are problem some bits missing from this lathe i did have to buy a tool rest for it.
hopefully the pics i took might help

Not sure but it looks like that drive center threads into the shaft. Hold the shaft with a wrench on the flats and use another to turn the drive center out. Then you will use the bolt to hold your face plate on.

Looks like need a squirt of penetrating oil and two wrenches. One wrench on lathe spindle flats other on drive center. Once get drive center off just screw on the faceplate. Do not think your lathe spindle is hollow but could be wrong.

Thanks everybody for your help on this. I succeeded used 1 spanner on the drive shaft and a very large 32 mm socket and tourque wrench on the drive center, that did the trick.

now does anybody know where i could buy a drive center like this? Because it has seen better days and is a bit bashed.

and heres a pic
