First Woodturning Attempt

I took a woodturning class yesterday. Had a blast! We did a spindle, just to learn the cuts and get introduced to the gouges and machine. Then after lunch, we turned a bowl. Here's pictures. It was green wood, so waiting for it to dry out before sanding and finish. It was made out of cherry.

Looks like the class served you well. Great job on the bowl

There is a very fine line between a "hobby" and a "mental illness"

Very nice job
Can't wait to see finished product

Do you have a lathe yet?
Do you have access to wood?

Learning more about tools everyday

Thanks everyone for the kind words! ,

No lathe yet, been keeping an eye on Craigslist for lathes on top of many other tools on my list. As far as wood, it wouldn't be too hard to come across free stuff to practice on or more exotic stuff if the need is there.
