there is no finish on it yet. NEEDS SOME MORE SANDING.any suggestions on what to use would be great

Nice work, I like to use lacquer on a lot of my turning projects.

That's a really nice piece. I like the grain. As far as a finish goes, I've become a fan of the beall buffing system. It's a 3 part method with a sealer applied first and then buffing with tripoli, followed by diamond compound and finishing with carnuba wax. I tried this with some older pieces and it gave an unbelievable finish on the piece. Try it, you'll like it.

I have some buffing tools already. I looked at your work great looking finish. I will give it a try. Did you buy a kit just for wood ? I can see I will need some small round buffing wheels for the inside. nice shop .
